Entering the Roundabout - Yield to traffic already on the roundabout and do not enter next to a vehicle as the vehicle might be exiting at the next exit.

- Within the roundabout:
- Do not change lanes within the roundabout OR as you exit. (worth repeating)
- If you are on the outside lane and a car is directly next to you on the inside lane, use caution as you approach any turn offs. He may go straight while you want to continue around the circle.
- Do not stop except to avoid a collision. You have the right-of-way over entering traffic. Keep moving in a counter-clockwise direction.
- Follow pavement striping and arrows for guidance – exit roundabouts with caution.
- Be aware of other vehicles in the roundabout.
- Do not overtake other vehicles or bicyclists within the roundabout.
- To avoid conflict, do not use the right lane to make a left turn through the roundabout.
- You will see a striped channelization island on some roundabouts, it reduces the circulatory roadway to one lane approaching a single-lane exit.
- The safest way to turn out of a roundabout is from the outside lane.
